BOA Opera School is a year-round course designed to bridge that gap, offering both full-time and part-time training while you live and work in Berlin. This immersive program helps you take the next step with confidence.

BOA offers both full-time and part-time courses designed to get you audition-ready in Germany. Our immersive, results-driven approach focuses only on the essential training you need to progress. While living in Berlin, you’ll build working-level fluency in German, refine your craft through intensive vocal and stage training, perform roles with orchestra, prepare and professionally record your audition package, and perform for an industry panel offering feedback and potential opportunities. Every element of the curriculum is purpose-built to support your next step of auditioning in Germany.

Each semester’s coursework culminates in an operatic performance as well as agent and network panel auditions, career seminars and recording sessions.

We have specially developed this condensed program so that you can get the core elements necessary to grow and succeed in Germany while still having time to work, support yourself, and integrate into German life and culture.

RÉPÉTITEURS // Berlin Opera Academy Opera School

BOA Opera School's course is also for Répétiteurs. It is designed for pianists preparing for professional careers in opera. You’ll work daily with singers, conductors, and directors, gaining hands-on experience in staging rehearsals, musical coachings, and masterclasses. Training focuses on operatic repertoire, language and diction, recitative playing, vocal coaching, and rehearsal leadership.

APPLICATION PROCESS // SINGERS & RÉPÉTITEURS

Step 1: Submit the Application fee using the PayPal button below.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form.

Step 3: After reviewing auditions and application materials, the admissions committee will decide on the invitation to the qualifying interview. In an interview, questions regarding motivation, previous training, development perspectives and character are discussed.

Application Deadlines:

Winter Semester Enrollment (October 2026 – July 2027) : September 1, 2026

Extended Application Deadline: September 15th, 2025


Singer Audition Repertoire: 2 arias in varying style and language.

Répétiteur Audition Repertoire: 2 recordings, one aria with singer, and one operatic scene from Mozart, including secco recitative involving at least two characters or the overture from La Bohème.

TUITION & SCHOLARSHIPS

Tuition per semester: 15800 Euro (Full-time) or 9400 Euro (Part-time)
for 38 Class Units (Full-time) 19 Class Units (Part-time) per week plus production rehearsals.

Tuition is 950 EUR per semester for all Répétiteur students.

BOA Staff assist participants to get settled in Berlin, including helping with finding accommodation and health insurance assistance through collaborative local partners.

Thanks to our donors, we are able to offer scholarships to a handful of successful singer applicants to go towards their tuition.
