Yun Jin Cho came to Germany at the age of 15 to complete a violin study with Ulf Wallin at the University of Music "Hans Eisler" in Berlin from 2001 to 2009. As a result, she received numerous 1st prizes at national and international competitions.

As a soloist and chamber musician, she was a guest at several European music festivals. Since 2008, Yun Jin Cho has been playing in the Gewandhaus Orchestra. Concertmaster of the Staatsoper Hamburg, since then she is now deputy 1st. In 2015, she accepted a teaching position at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig. Yun Jin Cho plays on a violin by the Italian violin maker Nicola Gagliano from Naples.
