Tatjana Weller

Tatjana Weller grew up near Munich and received clarinet lessons for the first time at the age of 9. At the age of 16 she was admitted to a young study at the HMT Munich and from 2014 initially studied school music in Würzburg. Following her state examination, she took up her clarinet studies with Thorsten Johanns and Christian Dollfuß in Weimar.

In addition to numerous pedagogical activities, Tatjana Weller was always involved in various chamber music formations. She was also a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, a German scholarship holder and stage academic at Tonali.

Through her studies, Tatjana Weller discovered her passion for the bass clarinet and intensified it in orchestral engagements such as the Thuringian Symphony Orchestra, the Hanover State Opera and the Duisburg Philharmonic/Opera am Rhein.

In September 2025, Tatjana Weller took up the position as bass clarinetist at the DSO.
