BOA was founded on the philosophy of “learning by doing”. Apprentices and Interns across various department are given the autonomy to take on responsibility, embrace opportunities, and work from their own initiative. It is our belief that this is the most effective way of preparing for careers in the opera industry.

TUITION & SCHOLARSHIP
Apprentice Conductors: 950€ per sessionAll other positions: There are no fees for apprentices and interns.
There are a number of partial scholarships available for contributing towards apprentice accommodation costs. Please include scholarship requests in the application form above.
For exceptional apprentices, Berlin Opera Academy supports and facilitates future employment opportunities.
Successful applicants are required to submit a refundable security deposit of 500€ to confirm their position at BOA. This will be refunded after the summer upon successful completion of the academy.
